Travelling from an area with new restrictions

We live in Huddersfield - part of Kirklees - which was subject to the additional restrictions featured heavily in the news last night (Thursday) and this morning, Friday.  We are booked in at Bridlington next Thursday.

I have examined the restrictions closely and nowhere does it mention a restriction on travelling.  I am aware that if there is a total lockdown (as was in Leicester) sites can legitimately turn away people travelling.  Indeed the Coronavirus FAQ section of the Club website reiterates

I've sent the Club an email but not sure that with volume of calls / emails etc they will get back to me before next week

If anyone from the Club is moderating / monitoring this forum, perhaps it's an idea to post an update to give some reassurance to members travelling from affected areas.

Guess it works the other way as well - what's the guidance for sites open inside the affected areas?  I'm assuming you cannot have other caravanners on your pitch even if they are staying on the same site.  A minefield!

Moderator Edit:

I've 'reported' your post in the hope that somebody from Head Office will be able to offer to further update and/or guidance to travellers.

The new restrictions are as confusing as ever. I'm in a restricted area too, I'm not allowed other households into my house & garden or the other way round but I'm allowed to meet them in my local pub!?!?

I've booked into a CL a few weeks away .... I'm not going to worry until nearer the time.

But I'm now not allowed to have my grand daughter round for the day again 😣

I think its quite clear, and what you have stated is correct. You are not allowed to meet other households in (as in inside) your local pub, you can meet them in a public outdoor area as long as you maintain social distancing rules. At all times, you should socially distance from people you do not live with – unless they are in your support bubble.

Read the restrictions this morning, we luckily are not included, but my first thought was how contradictory some of the impositions come across.

when i queried this with those supposedly in the know, was told that pubs , restaurants etc are supposed to have introduced measures re distancing, sanitising etc as per local government guidelines and if pub landlords for instance do not enforce them, then the establishment can be closed down, whereas in your home or garden it would be almost impossible to enforce any form of social distancing etc, take this as you will, i know many pubs in our area have introduced very strict measures, but enforcing them undecidedundecidedundecidedbut that said we did have 3 pubs in our area closed very early on when restrictions were liftedlaughing

and you know that will never happen within various groups .... only this morning a neighbour (who previously believed the rules were for everyone else but them) had a motorhome turn up & pitch/park on their drive ... no idea who they are, but they're not from their house hold.

So; do we snitch on people who disobey the rules?

It puts you in a "no win" situation.  Report and be criticised.  Don't report and be criticised.  All we can hope for is the vast majority of us will comply with whatever restrictions are in place

I agree with you, there has, and will always be people who ignore the rules, even when the rules are clear.

It sounds like your neighbours are continuing to believe the rules are for everyone else but them.
