How do I change my avatar?

Please help - I've been trying to update my avatar on my profile, but keep getting the following error message:  "Upload failed. Must be a valid image (jpg, gif, png, bmp)"

I've tried all 4 image types with no success.  I've also tried different image sizes.  I've tried static avatars and I've tried animated avatars - no luck with any of them.

Are there any maximum (or minimum) file sizes or images sizes that apply to CT avatars?

Rowena doesn't seem to like to answer questions on here as lots been asked about the 12 day xmas draw as when will it be done/will the winners be notified/will it be on the website etc etc. answers would be nice.

think it has been discussed on here before re the demise of this particular forum, and everybody having to use FB, you only have to take the launch of the Esso Card as an example, first few days of promotion great, lots of feedback from the commercial dept., then as the roll out became more and more farcical, less and less input from the club, to the point where there is now a deathly silence, it might be an Esso Card but as the club were promoting it they should be held responsible for the roll-out. Not used the FB forum but apparently it is very active with lots of response from the club.

p.s. before people wade in re Esso card, it does work, I have saved myself £10 in 2 fill ups (100 ltrs), pity roll out was so shambolic

I suspect Rowena will only answer if there is actually anything new to say? I make the assumption that as this has been raised many times the practicality of correcting the problem is either expensive or difficult given the forum software. But despite that we can all still use the forum so not quite the end of the world!

The winners were posted on fb. I tripped over the post, possibly on 24th December. I wasn't one! Not seen a thing on CT, seems a bit rude as the thread was started by a staff member!!
