Any idea how to permanently get rid of this irritating orange pop up box (have a question) on the bottom left of my screen.  Seems to have started this morning.

It seems only visible when you leave the forum. I am getting a small green circle (quite discreet) in the bottom left of the screen. Nothing happens to it unless you touch it either with the mouse of finger. It seems as though they have listened and adjusted to get the best solution. This is using a desktop computer running Windows 10. I checked on my Android phone, using the same page as on my PC, and it doesn't seem to appear on there at all?

I just logged in a few minutes ago and saw this green circle with the question mark. It appeared right over the log in box but I shoved the screen up a bit and the log inbox moved but the question mark stayed put, didn't dare to touch the green circle though!!

In my view totally pointless as there is already a FAQ button

Alan

Surely the FAQ button has a completely different function? You use that to get to a prepared list of questions/answers, what do you do if what you want to know is not catered for? I see the purpose of the new function as being able to ask about something that is not in the FAQ so an additional feature as I see it.

There seemed no difference in usage when I tried it David. But having tried again yes it does search a different data base but seems of little merit

You type in a question and it searches a list of pre-prepared questions and answers. It’s no help if you want to ask something that isn’t in the list.

The only difference between it and the FAQ button, from what has been said, is that they are monitoring what questions are asked and increasing it knowledge base. So although you might not get an answer. Someone else might, in a day or so, when the answer has been added.

I would have thought that would have been possible utilising the FAQ button. Without the need to further clutter the screen.☹️

That thought had crossed my mind also Steve

Now that the pop-up box has been removed as requested by forum members, smile, they have replaced it with an unobtrusive small green blob.   Well done to the IT dept.
