  1. Has anyone any ideas on how to cope with the problem we have with loose graval surfaces on some pitches. Many pitches have various materials such as crushed slate rough graval of various shapes and sizes or pebbles, abviously this is for good drainage and is eviromentaly important however, we find that the small wheels on my husband mobility scooter just don't work very well, they tend to dig into such materials rather than move over. We would welcome any suggestions obout perhaps some kind of portable matting or mesh that could be easyly roll out for the short distance between the van and the paved road. We are both a little unsteady on or feet and such surfaces can also  be a bit challanging. We would be grateful for any useful ideas. Jan.

Is it an option to change the wheels on the mobility scooter, perhaps to a slightly wider ones that might cope better?  Unfortunately there are not many easy alternatives to granite or gravel surfaces, except perhaps the rather nice paved pitches they now have at Tewkesbury. Perhaps one option the Club could think about is for the wardens to have some sort of mobile matting they could use when requested?
