Been saying for years, massive calor tanks on club sites so lets start using them to refill. It shouldn't be that expensive to add a specific valve with meter and tap and would recoup cost over a short period of time. Come on clubs get with the times.

As far as I can see 120 stores have closed since 2015 but I know that there were some before that.

From newspaper article May 2018 - (I think it was the Independent)

Homebase has been sold for £1 after Australian group Wesfarmers said its purchase of the group two years ago had proved “disappointing”. The DIY chain is being sold to restructuring firm Hilco Capital, which previously bought HMV from its administrators in 2013.25 May 2018

Homebase changing ownership even though that came with closing many stores, has released Flo-gas to sell its own ex BP Gaslights via any of the many Flo-gas dealers, those interested in handling it.

That was not the case up till recently but has now made it far more available than before Homebases latest hiccup.

I get mine from a Flo-gas Depot, but a Flo-gas dealer in my village would order me exchanges should I choose.

Look up on Flo-gas website for cylinder dealers, then ring them to see if they will get you Gaslight exchanges.

Calorlites are being discontinued and will become increasingly difficult to obtain. Whilst you could pay for a Flogas lightweight, the initial cost, like Calor rentals will go a substantial way to the cost of a refillable Safefill, equally lightweight and with the benefit of a future of buying cheap LPG, which will pay for itself over a reasonably short timescale. It will also enable you to obtain gas whilst abroad, something that neither of the other two options will do.

I use my local 'Flogas' to exchange my 'Gaslight', March 2019 the price was £33 for my 10kg bottle. Even offers free delivery exchange.

We use a 10 kg Safefill. Last fill from just about empty cost £11.64. Had we been using Calor it would have been 2 6kg bottles costing around £52.

Had the bottle less than 2 years and already paid for itself.

If it's already paid for itself then as a higher usage person it seems right for you.

I am nearly always hooked up to EHU and a 10kg gaslite bottle lasts me for 2/3 years, so a 'Safefill' would take quite a few years to pay for itself.
