We have now been to this site three times. It is a classic CL with simple facilities, don't expect a club house or shower block here. There is water and electricity included in the site fees and somewhere to loose both grey & brown water. What this site does have though is great views of the Exe Estuary and a tranquil location. The mainline Paddington to Penzance railway runs about a half mile away but the sound is not intrusive but almost melodic if you are awake. You can even walk to and hop on a train in Starcross or Dawlish Warren. The site is 1/4mile from a national cycle route and we cycled to Dawlish (4 miles), Exeter (10 miles and Exemouth (18miles) along either dedicated cycle ways, canal paths or (very) quiet country roads. All very enjoyable. There is a bus stop within 1/4 mile with very frequent buses to Exeter or Teignmouth. We took trips in both directions including daytrips to Torbay. Use the Stagecoach app as it will also show where the bus is in real time. Dawlish Warren is within walking distance if you wish to mix with the greater UK population with beach, shops and amusement arcades. There are also two nice public houses in Cockwood overlooking the harbour where you may get both drinks and food. We left our motor home parked up for the fortnight we were there and just walked, cycled or hopped on buses, all very relaxing. Roger & Pauline are two very nice laid back people who will make you feel welcome and will give nuggets of local info if required. Pauline will send a pdf with detailed instructions on how to get into site. Do follow these and NOT your SATNAV! The final bit of the lane is overgrown and feels very narrow but there are plenty of passing bays and is quiet outside of the school run. This place has become a favourite of ours and maybe see you there one day!
