Room for improvement.

The owners of the site were away during our stay but had left a more than competent replacement in charge. As instructed we turned our sat nav off some five miles out and followed the directions in the handbook. “Turn left by the telephone kiosk” was nearly missed due to it nestling in undergrowth and overhanging trees, the lane was narrow and uphill so we were pleased to reach the site without encountering any oncoming vehicles. The top of the field had the five Caravan club pitches all with excellent views of Exmouth over the estuary, there were further pitches some 100yards and out of sight to the right but sharing the same facilities, I was informed this arrangement had been cleared with a caravan club inspector ?? The drinking water position was just adequate, the chemical waste point was a hole at ground level covered with a dustbin lid and unavoidable unpleasant to use, grey water was discharged into the nearest hedge. Several people on site had been coming back year after year but all agreed the whole facility was now looking tired and in need of some TLC, but at £10 a night including electric hook up and awning it's still very good value for money.
