Peaceful CL

We have just had the pleasure of spending 5 nights at Acol Farm CL site . Beautifully kept site .Very warm friendly welcome from the owner. We would definitely recommend a stay there. Water and waste only . Best check on google earth to find the entrance .LPG at nearby shell garage at the moment which was bonus .

A lovely little CL

The site is a nicely kept, mostly level, well drained meadow, surrounded by high hedges so is very private. The drinking water and toilet disposal are very tidy and clean. The reception was friendly and laid back, the owners nice people. We intend to go again. Birchington town is a short cycle ride away although the sea front doesn't offer a beach; you'll need to travel further afield for that. The only thing that prevents a full-house of 5 stars was the proximity of Manston airfield that was hosting drag bikes while we were there and the noise was really something else for a couple of hours each evening. The site is only a few minutes from the A299, a big wide road, but the entrance is on a very narrow section of the street in Acol and the signage is easy to miss. Turning round with a caravan would be nigh on impossible requiring you to go up Acol hill and turn toward Manston before coming back into the village on a side road. We missed it in our Hymer and had an entertaining conversation in the front as we weaved around Kent. Google maps street view should be consulted!!

Lovely quite CL

If you are looking for a quite CL near the coast in Kent then this is it. Grass is well kept and site tidy. Lovely sound of local church bells in the morning.

Great weekend in Kent

We wanted to visit the Powell-Cotton museum and the CL is ideal. Just a short bike ride. Also several other places to visit locally. We were made very welcome when we arrived and Mrs Willets was was pleased to advise. As the wind was quite strong, we were happy to be sheltered by the tall hedges. Found local shops in Birchington and Fuel and provisions at a local garage on the main road South.

Nice little CL

Nice little CL. Easy to find. Well set out. Grass well kept. Quiet. No views but sheltered by hedges all around which is an advantage so close to the sea. Helpful, friendly owners. Well situated for visits to Canterbury, Sandwich and all the coastal resorts. Stayed 6 nights. Would use again if visiting this area of Kent.
