Since there hasn’t been a review since 2017 thought I had better update it. My wife and I stayed on this site for three nights this last weekend it is easy to find down a quiet lane with no road noise at all. On arrival our name and pitch number was on a board and after pitching up I went to meet the lovely owner who made us most welcome explaining the locality and provided a map with all the local walks on direct from site. The walks are all through woodland field and around lakes in a flat area. A few hundred yards from the site is a small cafe which is run by volunteers and provide reasonable priced snacks homemade cakes and drinks. There is plenty of wildlife and birds in the area. The site is adjacent to a commercial site of about 15 vans but this is very quiet and causes no issues.the site is basic with no toilet or showers but we don’t use them anyway as we use our own facilities. Although only 10am never had a problem. A lovely site set in idilic surroundings worth a visit we will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.
