Lovely peaceful site

Stayed here for a couple of nights over the long bank holiday weekend. Communication to make the booking (via e-mail) was good, with pleasant interaction and helpful instruction including directions and access code, etc. On arrival, access was straightforward and we found our way through the farmyard onto the pitches - easily marked for either grass or hardstanding. No problems with access for our 7m motorhome. With good weather, we opted for grass and made our way to park up on the barn wall next to one of 4 hook-up points. Slight slope, but use of a levelling block sorted this out. A quick wander about located water-points, WC facilities, info point with tourist info leaflets, locations of local amenities, useful phone numbers, etc. and chemical toilet disposal all within easy reach around the hardstanding area. There were three other families staying on each of the nights we stayed (2 opting for grass pitches as well and one on the hardstanding), but we all had loads of space and didn't feel intruded upon at all. Judith introduced herself whilst doing some jobs in the evening, checking we had everything we needed and wished us a pleasant stay. We'd picked this site as a starting point for a 50km cycle ride around the 5-valleys of Stroud and were not disappointed. It was easy to get out onto the route (at Haresfield) and a lovely place to finish, coming back over Haresfield Beacon with views over the Severn Estuary and the bridge. The surrounding countryside is also lovely, with some hidden gem towns/villages like Painswick and Minchinhampton. Overall the ambience of the campsite is peaceful tranquillity, just what you want on a bank holiday weekend!
