A perfect introduction to caravanning!

This was our first trip away in our brand new caravan and we couldn't have picked a better place. As novices we were a little nervous and a little bit stressed when it came to working out how to set the van up for water, electric, heating etc but Craig was our saviour! He was terrific and helped us enormously, as did our really lovely fellow caravanners. One thing we have learned for sure it's like a family everyone is so nice and friendly and it made our weekend. The site was fab - we were in the field and had loads of space. It was a very pretty setting. £12 per night including electric cannot beat that. We will definitely return the warm welcome from Craig and the lovely Sandra was second to none. Craig is one of those people you feel like you've known for years even though you've just met! We would recommend this site to anyone. Amanda and Ian from Staffs. Stayed 7-10th April 2017.

A very enjoyable stay

Stayed at this site over the News Years Eve Weekend. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. We were positioned right next to river, lovely views and quiet location. Two pubs in the village, about 10 mins walk. Visited them on News Years Eve, good atmosphere with the locals. Pershore is worth a visit, a nice walk from the site along the footpath, joining the river. Would certainly recommend Avon Bank Meadow.

Great CL site

We have just returned from a 7 night stay and can say it is the best CL site we have stayed on . It was very well maintained, level and had water and an aerial socket at each pitch, the signal was great, providing loads of TV channels. Craig is working hard to improve the site further and provide additional facilities at each pitch. the site was quite, situated at the side of the river Avon and had no traffic noise. We were made to feel very welcome, wifi was free which was great. we were provided with lots of local information.  Craig was very helpful when we had car problems , he did over and above what could be expected of him, for which we are very grateful All this for a very reasonable price of £11, it was worth every penny.   I can highly recommend this site, we will be returning soon.

Great site. We will return.

What a great site. Lovely location. Plenty of room. Friendly owner. Nice river walk into pershore. Fishing. What more could you ask for. All for £11 a night including electric. We will definitely return.

Good Days Bad Days

MartinKing had a bad one! We had a good one! 06/09/16 Our experience was very different there was also a Rally on the site but there was a very different outcome. For us the venue was perfect and does not deserve a negative report because of the negative effect of some people.

Picked the wrong weekend!!!

In fairness to the site, I am sure it will be great the next time we go back, but unfortunately there was a rally on the site the weekend that we decided to visit. The site was fairly empty initially but we were unable to get onto the CL part of the site so we were placed in the main site field. Within 2 to 3 hours there was not enough room to move and some totally uncaring caravaners placed themselves in front of us leaving us not enough room to even wind out our canopy and stealing the view of the river. The pitches were a case of put it wherever it fits and the management on site were nowhere to be seen. It was quite frankly a free for all. If I can't get on the CL site next time I won't be stopping. Wyre Piddle and the surrounding area are beautiful, the local pub is a riverside delight and lots of walks in the vicinity, hopefully our next visit to the site will be peaceful and tranquil too?

Avon Bank, Pershore. Just Grand

This is a flat all grass site close to the River Avon, accessed by a narrow lane from Wyre Piddle, which may present a problem if arriving early and meeting a van coming in the other direction. Pershore is within walking distance, over the river meadows and has a Asda for stocking up. There are a couple of pubs in the village, 10 mins from the site. For those that like peace and quiet this site would certainly suit, provided there's not a rally going on in the adjacent field, so it would be worth checking when booking. The site has free wifi and is great value at £11 pn. We will certainly use the site again when visiting the area.

Keep this one to yourself!

We visited here in early August 2016. It is fabulous. A really lovely, flat, beautiful site with great views of the boats on the river Avon.  The owner could not be more friendly or helpful.  This has got to be an all time favourite. Two riverside pubs, dog friendly too, just a 10 minute very leisurely  stroll away.  Blissful. Truly can't wait to return.  An absolute gem of a CL. Thanks for a lovely weekend Craig and Sandra!

Super River Side Site

We booked this site for a few days but it was so nice we stayed for 10. Wyre Piddle is a small village with 2 pubs about ½ ml away. Georgian town of Pershore about 20 min easy walk away. Site is on banks of river Avon with well-spaced pitches, large flat site well maintained by happy-n-friendly owner who continually cuts grass to superb standard. Plenty of interesting places not far away ... if you like gardens then Bourton House Garden at Bourton-on-the-Hill is a must. This is a First Class CL and will be back again next year.
