First, I understand from Alec that the people who arrived at Easter had been warned not to come as there was snow on the ground and the site was waterlogged. We had already abandoned an earlier visit at the end of March for this reason.
Fortunately the site had completely dried out by the time we finally made it, and we had no issues with our motorhome, except that the entire CL site is sloping. There is an area at the bottom end which is hard standing, but nearly all of the site is grass.
Unfortunately this isn't a secluded CL, but a reserved area of a much larger site, which on our visit had a number of teepees, and on one night we had to endure a group of teenagers on Duke of Edinburgh training camped just across from us, and they weren't exactly quiet. The other irritation is that the toilets and shower are a couple of hundred yards away in the main farm complex, up a track that could well be be muddy in wet weather. Remember to take a torch.
It was an ideal location for us though, as it was only a short walk from Arley station on the SVR and the arboretum (a struggle back up though!), and there are also nice walks along the Severn and in the Wyre Forest. The Olde New Inn down the road is a decent enough food pub, although the menu is not particularly exciting. The Harbour in Arley also does basic food, and has a large garden, but can get heaving due to its location.
We had no problem with access using the far track, but be aware that there is a large caravan park further down the lane, and you are likely to encounter traffic to and from this on the narrow lane.
