A quiet and peaceful site, very convenient for the steam railway and pubs. The site is sloping, so be sure to bring levellers! We arrived in appallingly wet weather and managed to get bogged down in our camper van in the field, despite Alec’s advice to park up right next to the access lane, in our desire to get a more level pitch. He was very helpful and got us out in a couple of minutes with his tractor. There are toilets and a shower a couple of hundred yards away up the farmyard track which are basic and sanitary. Make sure to take 20p coins to feed the shower if you want one! We loved the location, the value and our very lovely host - and probably wished we’d had our own facilities on board.
