Prestine Site

The owners of this site are friendly and welcoming and deserve every success.  The site is beautifully kept and the shower and toilet are immaculate. The shower is especially good and all the amenities are powered by a solar array.  One evening we paid the extra for a spell in the hot tub which was fantastic there is adequate room for four adults with various settings to play with and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.  The pitches on this site are flat and a reasonable size although there were only two other caravans there, so we were reasonably spread out.  I can't comment much on the surroundings as we only stayed a few nights and came primarily to visit our daughter who is at university in Lampeter.  We tried a few of the footpaths but were fairly limited to where we could go as there was a lot of stock in the fields including bulls and young calves so we didn't want to risk it with the dogs.  I imagine at a different time of year it's another story altogether.  Will definitely return to this site again.

Just What We Were Looking For

We stayed a week, and were really pleased, we were welcomed by Nick & Steph, who showed us around on arrival. What a neat tidy site, and the Toilet / Shower facility are second to none, they were brand new, along with a Jacuzzi if you wanted one, they were spotless. The site itself was absolutely spot on if you wanted a bit of peace and quiet, Nick & Steph, have some chickens, and are getting some Pigmy Goats this weekend, and have been adopted by a Guinea Fowl. The villiage is not far away and the locals are very friendly, there is a General Store, a spot on Butchers, who sells tasty smoked bacon for breakfast bacon butties, a newsagents / store and a couple of pubs. My favourite is the Red Lion, absolutely spot on food, although the portions are a bit large, so be warned. To sum up All in all a brilliant CL  (Well done Nick & Steph) and a nice area, so if you want to chill out, here's the place to go. We certainly will be back.

First Visit but not the last!

Booked for two nights but stayed three. A really nice, well kept site with excellent shower and toilet facilities. Made most welcome by Steph and Nick on arrival. Great location and a must visit is Dinefwr Park where you can visit the Castle, Newton House and deer park.

Wow! An excellant CL

We stayed at Barons Court CL for a week in August as part of a summer touring England and Wales.  Our trip involved staying on over twenty five CLs and this was definitely one of the best we stayed at. Andrew provides a warm welcome and the shower facilities would not be out of place in a quality hotel.  The site was immaculately kept with the added bonus of being able to buy fresh eggs from Andrew. The village, which is only a short (ten minutes) walk away has a top quality butcher and the Goose and Cuckoo has great beer and serves good pub food.  Andrew is a mine of local information and we found him happy to chat about the local area. The site is ideally located for visiting the Brecon Beacons, we did some fantastic walking and will definitely be going back in 2015.  We will be sure to book early because when word gets around about this site it will be very busy. You can see our walks and places we visited on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk

Barbara and Keith

A great CL, spotlessly clean toilet and shower. Andy the owner is very welcoming and full of local knowledge if you wish to explore the area. Unfortunately it was just a stopover for us but one we will visit again if we are in that part of the country.

Fantastic Stay

Thank you Andrew for a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. We had fresh hen & duck eggs for breakfast and enjoyed watching the ducks frolicking around; there are even donkeys across the road! The toilet facilities were spotless and there was also a jacuzzi which we didn't have time to try but looked lovely. It is an ideal base mid way between Brecon Beacons and the Gower so you are spoilt for choice. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Andrew, and we will definitely return!

A special piece of the countryside

An absolutely spotless site.  The owner, Andrew and his lovely family gave us a warm welcome.  Very friendly and helpful. The site has a new wet room and toilet facility and the icing on the cake is the bookable jacuzzi! A great place to break up the journey to/from north wales, or for a longer stay to see the many sites in the area.   Would definitely recommend this site and will be visiting it again. Only 5 pitches so book in advance because when this site is in the book next year I think it will get booked up quickly.   Thank you Andrew
