Just spent three nights here between Christmas and New Year. And how we wish we were here for longer, we shall certainly be back. First of all to clarify about getting into the site. If you follow the Cl site directions, coming from the north, then no problem what so ever. If you come from the other direction (you don't have too, if you come from the south, just drive a further half mile on the A36 and you then join the directions given from the north) then not really a problem, yes you do have to travel out into the middle of the road a bit, but it is a very quite rural road, so no problem there. We liked the walks direct from the site, quite a choice of walks too. We liked the rural setting, being next door to a field with sheep in it, watching the owners chickens. In winter we always take bird feeders with us, and with in an hour of putting them up we were able to watch blue tits feeding in them. A very tidy and clean Cl, friendly helpful owners and very reasonable charges too. Rode is a lovely traditional Somerset village, with a couple of pubs, we visited one of them, short walk from the site, also a village shop. If you do need supermarkets and larger shops then Trowbridge is only a short drive away, We would describe this Cl as a charming delightful Cl, on which we tend to return too.
