We’ve just got home after spending the weekend at Betley Park. It’s set in the natural beauty of the Shropshire hills. The owners Guy and Jo have have created a wonderful place which we really enjoyed. I would fully recommend staying here. Thank you both! we hope to stay with you again soon! Louise and Neil 🙌
An idyllic stay in the Shropshire countryside
We have stayed at many campsites over the years, but the newly opened Betley Park is the best we have experienced.
Waking up to breathtaking views of the rolling hills, lush green countryside and the sound of birdsong.
We enjoyed a peaceful getaway with walks directly from the site, and only a short drive to the heart of Shrewsbury.
We enjoyed the on-site hideaway with fire pit and bbq, for cozy nights with our friends.
The hosts Jo and Guy made us feel very welcome and advised us about places to visit and things to do in the local area.
Having never visited Shropshire before, we can’t wait to return to this wonderful site
Thank-you Betley Park

Shrewsbury’s newest must visit CL
We visited Betley Park on the 14th and 15th September with our friends for a weekend getaway. The pitches are spacious with EHU, there is drinking water and an Elsan point too. However this lovely CL has two features that really make it stand out. The first is the beautiful views across Shropshire from your hillside vantage point, the Long Mynd etc. Are all easy to see and close enough to visit should you want to explore. You are also surprisingly close to Shrewsbury about 5 - 10 minutes by car. The second standout feature is the barbecue area a lovely place for relaxing and eating, built inside an old quarry onsite its private whilst still having good views. There is a brick built barbecue inside an old pig pen / pump house and a new sheltered area with a sink and running water should the British weather strike, otherwise there a plenty of wooden picnic tables to sit at outside.
The owners Guy and Jo are two of the nicest and friendliest people you could meet (they are Camper Van owners themselves), they are welcoming and have great knowledge of the local area for walks etc. Should you require supplies there is a lovely well stocked shop a quick walk down the road, there are also supermarkets and fast food or restaurants within very easy reach. We will be heading back soon and highly recommend a stay if you’re visiting the area.
Fantastic weekend away
We stayed here for two nights this weekend (14th/15th April 23) with friends and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, fantastic views over the Shropshire hills from your pitch with lovely walks right on the doorstep a great local Deli just down the road and a Chinese takeaway nearby , very peaceful overnight with a great sunrise in the morning , we would recommend this beautiful CL site we will definitely return
Jo and Guy were very knowledgeable about the local area and were fantastic hosts
Thanks very much Claire & Chris
