Relaxing and peaceful 3 night mini break

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of September. Really good directions from the owner, very easy to find. Really large field with plenty of room to spread out, very level grass field surrounded by trees and bushes. Good access road to the site, it has a gate which the owners like to keep closed, it all felt very secure. There is a chemical disposal drain, water, and rubbish which has several bins for recycling. There is a single toilet with a wash basin for exclusive use for the CL site. We were met and given information, we could pitch were we liked as there were several electric points dotted around. This CL is situated very close to several attractions and seaside towns and villages, all within easy driving distance. There are a couple of pubs doing food, we had a Sunday lunch in the Parrot at Aldringham, pretty sure you could walk to it but we were going on to somewhere else so drove there, nice Sunday roast, not sure if it is the same every week but there was beef or chicken breast, you could also have the regular things of the menu. We would definitely recommend this site for the peacefulness, hardly any traffic noise, not overlooked in any way and very well kept. We hope to visit again

Fabulous site

Just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at this fabulous site. We found it easily with the directions given. It's a lovely big field and is so peaceful. The owners are lovely, and they are helpful if you need anything. The site is central to lots of beautiful areas to visit and discover. There is a pub within walking distance which serves good food. We will definitely be going back!

Hidden peaceful site

What’s not to like.... this site is like a huge secret garden, don’t be put off by the address, yes, it is at the end of a quiet cul de sac, but goodness, you turn the corner into a huge field with loads of room to spread out. It is placed in a perfect location to explore Suffolk, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness are on the doorstep and Southwold and Dunwich not far. It is surrounded by footpaths and good cycling lanes, and there are two pubs within walking distance, The Parrot and Punchbowl can be accessed by walking through the woods behind the site, definitely worth a visit. Really friendly welcome from the owners, and yet again, come away please feeling very fortunate to have been able to stay on someone’s beautiful land, thank you, will return for sure.

A Peaceful Gem

We have just returned from a 6 day stay at this lovely, peaceful site. We were given a very friendly welcome from Mrs Wrench who let us set up before coming back later to explain everything. The site is easy to find and the access is good (when you get to Judith Ave just keep going until you come to the track, the site is at the end of it). The field has plenty of room for the 5 pitches, plenty of space for all, it is surrounded by trees but these don't impede on light. Water, waste, rubbish, loo etc are very well organised and clean with easy access from the field. It is close to local towns and attractions with plenty of footpaths and easy cycling all around. There is a pub and shop in the village which is just a walk away. I would definitely recommend this site and would love to go back if only to watch the stars at night with no light pollution and listen to the owls and pheasants in the woods.

Not suitable for motorhomes

Unfortunately we booked this site just using the App where it states that the site is suitable for motor homes, whereas on the website it says that it’s not! This is mainly because the owner doesn’t like Motorhomes filling with water from the one tap with a hosepipe. Otherwise the site was very peaceful and pleasant within reach of Aldeburgh, Snape, and Dunwich and we had a very enjoyable break there.

Lovely site

We greatly enjoyed our short stay on this lovely site, which is quiet and tucked away, yet has easy access. Wonderful woodland walks which link into longer sections to take you to the coast. We were warmly welcomed and can really recommend this well cared for site. Many thanks from Nigel & Gill

Peaceful Site

A very neat site, with easy access to the coastal villages of Suffolk. The site is close to horse paddocks and the owner's house, but considering it is accessed down a residential road, it is really peaceful. Many sites we have used are in rural locations, but suffer from traffic noise; this site is really quiet. It has a large grass area for caravans, allowing good separation between caravans. The water and waste facilities are off the site and adjacent to the house and really easy to access. I'd recommend using a hookup position closest to the house to ease filling and emptying. The only problem we (and the other four caravans) experienced was the electric supply tripping on two consecutive evenings. This may have been caused by one caravan using excess power, but it shouldn't affect all caravans; we have never experienced this on the 30 or so CLs we have used. If this issue can be rectified I would thoroughly recommend this site.

Response from the Club:

Many thanks for your review and we are delighted that you had a wonderful time at this lovely CL Site. The owner has been in touch to advise they had the EHU looked at after your visit and can confirm all is in working order with no issues found. No other member has since experienced any issue so it may well be that the electrics were overloaded which caused it to trip. We are sorry this affected the enjoyment of your stay.

Nothing has changed

As there hasn't been a review for the past couple of years I am updating our last one to say we have been back and nothing has changed it is still as perfect as before. Big pitches, short grass and friendly owners. Plenty of room for children to play without disturbing other caravanners. Easy access to Aldeburgh with a great fish and chip shop and wonderful gelato shop and two pubs that do food nearby.

Quiet, Private and spacious

We have just returned from a very soggy week in Suffolk but this did not detract from our stay on this lovely site. Mr and Mrs Wrench are very nice and helpful. The site is as described by other caravaners and is spacious and well maintained. There are no particular views as it is surrounded by trees but we did see a small deer in the adjoining field. There are walks that can be taken from the site but on this occasion we were unable to test these out as it was so wet it put paid to longs walks!. We would definitely return to this site and thoroughly recommend it.

Peace perfect peace

The biggest CL with the most amount of space between pitches that we have ever stayed on. The field was flat and well cut and we loved the woodland beside it where I saw a muncjac. Hidden away at the end of a cul de sac [ignore the private signs] it was very quiet. The owners were delightful. We went for a week and stayed for three which says it all.
