My friends and I arrived at this CL with two caravans having previously booked the site by phone. The owners met us and showed us to the pitches that were kept for us having been roped off to stop anyone else using them. Saying this we could have used any other part of the field as there were only two other pitches being used. The site was well kept, open grassland beside a small farm and livery stables. It has a small toilet on site which was always clean and in good order. The owners couldn't have been more helpfull and pleasant. They had to go to a wedding over the weekend but left their adult daughter in charge and she was just as lovelly as the parents. When the owners returned they made a point of coming to see us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. A degree of care that is not always shown on other sites! We visited the local pubs and town which was very pretty and even got to see a great firework display as they enjoyed their centenary celebrations of the Mear. On the day of leaving the owners took the time to say goodbye, opening the gate to see us through safely. (Or was it to make sure we left!) Either way if we get the time to go their way again then a stay at Briarwood farm would suit us all nicely!!
