"A stunningly peaceful, welcoming, gem of a site"

My wife and I have just spent a whole week at this delightful site and the weather has been just amazing. If you like large pitches with wonderful views of fields and trees then this is for you. We were also treated to Deer, Fox, Squirrels, Bats, Woodpecker, Hare, Rabbits, Owls and too may other birds to mention. Situated in a central position access to places of interest is easy along beautiful country lanes. Easy to find and when we arrived we were greeted by owners Michael and Susan who were most pleasant and welcoming and most accommodating. They work the small farm and there is the VERY occasional tractor moving about but do not be put off by this in any way as they drive out of their way to keep the noise of the tractor to a minimum. The entrance lane opens up to a double level grassed field with electric hook ups and the pitches are "huge". There is fresh water, waste area, rubbish disposal area and well maintained toilets, the whole area is clean and tidy. Michael the owner said if you want to see a good sunset walk down the very little hill into his other field then walk to the the top of that field and stand by the gate; we did this after one lovely sunny day and firstly the view at the top of the field is wonderful and we were then treated to the most beautiful of sunsets. I have no negatives about this place, however we did venture one night to the Goat Inn just down the road and we were most disappointed with the food, not good at all, service and staff were fine but will not be returning there. We have stayed on many sites in our time and we both have to say this has to be one of the best, as in the title it is an absolute "gem".
