Wonderful place to stay

I have to say that this is one of the best CL's we've stayed at! - we enjoy staying at CL's (both with/without EHU) A mixture of hardstanding and grass pitches each with their own water point, and nearby EHU. Good double-gated entrance to the site with level pitches (even the grass ones - we were on grass) and a wonderful view across the farm, the site having been carved out of one the fields. The pitches are well spaced, and obviously designed by people that enjoy caravanning themselves. David and Julia were wonderful hosts, welcoming us with a smile and happy to stop and chat as we encountered them during the stay. My wife enjoyed seeing the owls perched on the bales, the family of buzzards, and the deer, ... whilst she sat outside with her breakfast, as well as the walks along the footpaths that went around the farm, and into the neighbouring countryside. I enjoyed a slightly more relaxed holiday, and the farm noise wasn't particularly obtrusive (but it is a working farm so there will be some noise). A (near?) perfect site that will only get better when they are able to open the new toilet/shower block (not that we would make particular use of them ourselves). The only downer to the holiday: breaking down on the way back, and I can't blame the CL for that!

9th-16th August

Thank you to David and Julia for a memorable week. This is a newly opened site and as Julia and David are experienced caravanners themselves they have put a lot of thought into what facilities CL users might like. The pitches are spacious and of varying types, each one having its own water and electricity supply. This was particularly good in the current climate of Covid 19. The setting is lovely with open fields to the side. The toilet/shower block is in progress but as we all had our own facilities this was not a problem. The owners are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. There are plenty of places to visit and to eat, or you can have a quiet time ; whatever you would like. This is definitely a CL that we would recommend and return to. We wish them all the luck in the future. Gill and Bruce Moore

5 Stars and more

Arrival very friendly, both Julia and David made us more than welcome. Site very quiet but is on a working farm so expect occasional machinery noise, but nothing to worry about. Pitches level, spacious and well apart. Very good to have EHU and water to each pitch. Good walk around most of the farm, David or Julia will give clear directions. All in all a beautiful site in a beautiful location. We will be back, but please leave a space for us!

A real gem

I booked this CL for it's close proximity to the start of a cycle event that my son was competing in. Julia was extremely helpful when I booked and gave me the number of The Crown pub in the village (great meal by the way!). The site is pristine with 3 hard standings and 2 grass pitches all with electric & water. The utility building is work in progress at the moment but as we're self sufficient that was no problem. It was very peaceful and wished we could have stayed longer. We would not hesitate to return.
