Ease of arrival/welcome

Beauiful Bryncelyn!

Just spent 12 days here in August and it was as previously described by others..........a beautiful, peaceful oasis. Peter was really welcoming and pitching up was simple (slight slope, not a problem). Having serviced pitches is very welcome and the bin stores & elsan point were well organised on the opposite side of the field. The moor at the back of the site is stunning where hundreds of sheep roam freely and you occasionally encounter a horse & rider. The only downside for us (having a dog who likes to run round with any other 4 legged animal!) is that sheep are absolutely everywhere so it limited the freedom to walk the dog off lead as she's used to. However, Peter did inform us of a couple of woods close by where we were able to walk 'sheep free' - and of course the beaches. Newport sands & Poppit sands (just west of Cardigan) were our preferred beaches simply because they are very dog friendly......good little cafes at both too.......& even though it was the height of the summer holidays, neither beach ever felt packed. There's a couple of lovely walks along the estuary ending up at Newport sands on one side and the Parog in Newport on the other side. Some may be interested in visiting 'Ffaldybrenin' in the Gwaum valley which is a stunning Christian retreat centre 6 miles away - as day visitors you can spend the day and roam the grounds in total peace and quiet or spend time in the chapel and a day room - for a suggested donation of £10.All you can hear are the birds, insects.....no passing traffic.....bliss. Just a note....If you're on Sky mobile, you've got no chance at a signal unless you drive down to the petrol station/stores on the main road or walk/drive up onto the hills - this was a bit frustrating as we couldn't pay by phone to park initially - we then worked out to pay ahead when we got the car park ID and a 4G signal en route! So you can't rely on internet to easily find out about places to go etc.....But then there's Peter! :) We loved our stay there and now we know the area a bit better, we will certainly return.....all in all 10/10 for Bryncelyn!
