A Short Stop

As we had visited Burnt Ash Farm quite a few years ago, we had no hesitation booking again albeit just a quick stopover. We too stayed on the hardstanding but the actual lawned paddock was supremely well kept. Had a lovely welcome and update from Adrian. The mowed path around the field was a nice additional touch and we were chuffed to see sky larks as we walked round. The facilities were super clean and we would definitely recommend this CL. We'll be back, and will be sure to make our stay a bit longer in this lovely part of the world.

A super site.

We stayed 2 nights. Received a lovely welcome from the owner and son. The site is beautifully manicured and the showers/toilet building is exceptional. Don't often have such lovely facilities on a CL site. We parked on the hard standing with a fabulous view across the field and landscape, this was by choice as did not want to risk messing up the lovely grass area with our heavy motorhome during this wet time. Water and electric right next to us. We walked to Minchinhampton accross the fields from the farm with our dog and cycled with ease around the whole area. The horses on the farm are very well looked after and look quite stunning. We will return without any doubt as £25.00 per night is to us a real bargain.

Enjoyable Stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Burnt Ash Farm. Adrian was friendly and extremely helpful. The field is level with good access and the grass is regularly mowed. The toilet block consists of 5 large rooms, 2 with showers & sink, 2 with loo and sink and the final room for the disabled is fully equipped. All these rooms were regularly cleaned. There are two local pubs, The Ragged Cot about 100 yards away and the Crown at Michinhampton, which is a short walk ( 15 mins) along a mowed path through one of Adrians Fields. Every Wednesday, The Crown has an Irish music night with local musicians having a jamming session. It was a great evening. During our stay, we had a couple of caravan issues and called PGF Caravan Services. We would highly recommend Philip who quickly and efficiently made the necessary repairs.

Lovely stay!

Jenny and I stayed here last week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A lovely site and very welcoming people! Loved the proximity of horses and wildlife! The toilet/shower block was really clean. A bonus is that it is just outside Minchinhampton Common which has such a beautiful landscape!

An excellent CL site

An excellent CL site Very clean and tidy. Welcomed on arrival and guided to a very level grass pitch with views over the adjacent paddock. Excellent shower and toilet facilities although on two occasions the hot water did run out. Great position for visiting near by Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester. In general it’s peaceful however it’s close proximity to a main road means you will hear the buzz as cars etc cross the cattle grid. It does get quieter in the evening. There is a path across the paddock to a foot path to the local village and yes the pub is 2 minutes walk away

What a site for first trip!

As the title explains, this was our first trip in our new caravan, so we have nothing to benchmark it against. We stayed for 3 nights on the bank holiday weekend. Adrian gave us a very warm welcoming and was very helpful and accommodating. Pitches (grass) were nice and level with well kept grass. Our two springers very much enjoyed the walks from the site - no need to use the car. Site facilities; EHU and plenty of water points for refilling. Toilet and showers all very clean and well maintained. Ragged Cot Pub/Restaurant is just a couple of minutes walk from the site and has a lovely garden, so ideal with the dogs. Very much enjoyed our stay, so much so that we are going back next weekend! Well done Adrian, look forward to meeting you again.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely 5 nights at this site. It is very central to lots of walks and places of interest. The nearby villages are really pretty. The site itself is very easy to use, with plenty of space for everyone, and easy water/waste/facilities, and the owner was very friendly. It was also lovely to watch the horses. The pub down the road is fabulous! Our only issue….NOT with the actual site, but we drove via Birdlip……avoid this, it is a big long hill…..go further on the motorway and arrive a different way….we left via Stroud and J13 which was fine!

The perfect place for a relaxing break

This is the best small site that we have stayed on. Adrian, the owner, was friendly and welcoming and the site itself feels spacious and well-kept. The facilities block is close to the pitches and features wonderfully clean and modern toilets and showers. Electric hook-up is available and there is a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches. As others have mentioned, there are several good walks from the site and Stroud is only few miles away for all shopping needs. If you fancy a riding lesson, you can book one here and there is a pub (The Ragged Cot) a five-minute walk away with friendly staff and good beer - what more do you need? We will definitely be back.

A great place for a quiet weekend

We have stayed at a few CLs, and Burnt Ash Farm is easily one of the best so far. The facilities are clean, with Covid safety measures for additional reassurance, the location is peaceful and restful (as long as you don't mind the occasional neighing of horses), and Adrian is a welcoming host. We had some trouble with the caravan during our stay, and Adrian could not have been more helpful; if you have to change a wheel on your van, a equestrian farmyard is definitely the place to do it!

A wonderful and relaxing location

We spent a wonderful and relaxing 2 nights at this CL campsite from 3-5 September 2021. Adrian and his Mum gave us a very warm welcome and we were made to feel very much at home throughout our stay. The site is very clean and well maintained and the toilet and shower block is the best we have experienced at a CL site. Covid-safe procedures are in place that ensures showers/toilets are dedicated to specific pitches which demonstrates the owner's commitment to cleanliness. The surroundings and views out over the working farm are wonderful as are the walks across the fields to Minchinhampton town and Minchinhampton Common. The site is nice and flat with good distances between the pitches and Adrian lent us an extra long power cable during our stay so that we could hook up with ease. Payment is very easy via cash or BACS. This is an excellent site and we will certainly return again in the future.
