Lovely little site

As total beginners to Motorhomes we wanted something small and quiet so as you can imaginer CL sites fit our bill nicely. We booked this site via the CL Booking site and my booking was quickly accepted and Paid for. It is a lovely little place to stop. The facilities are basic but do the job well. I am more than happy with what was there. We Will definitely be using again in the near future and look forward to see what will be added over time.

I'll be back!

This was a perfect site for me and I will return here. The facilities so far are great. My only worry is that once all facilities are in place, it will be constantly fully booked. There is a bus stop up the lane with frequent buses to Aberystwyth and back. The walks near the church in Llandre are beautiful and there are 2 pubs within walking distance. A very good meal at the Black Lion in Bow Street. A friendly owner a phone call away, this is a lovely site in it's infancy.

Hidden Gem

Visited this site bank holiday weekend, with kids and dog. Code is provided ahead of arrival so easy to get in and set up. Beautiful views, panoramic sunshine and peaceful surroundings. Local pub on the main road was good for drinks and hospitality (food not the best), quick and easy to get to Borth or Aberystwyth. Yes the track is pot holey, the pitches are a bit rough round the edges and hope the newly planted trees don’t block the views and sunshine, but on the whole we enjoyed the base and would visit again for sure.

Poorly Maintained

Stopped here 31st July for a week but returned early. Access is very poor along a pot holed lane with overgrown hedges scratching the Caravan. Pitches are badly put together and are sloping so be aware. Chemical disposal is disappointing as no cover so you get very wet when it rains and have to stand in pools of water to empty the loo. No visibility of owners and no contact since handing over the full amount prior to arrival They get your money then ignore you. Not recommended.

Response from the CL Owner:

I'm very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, and appreciate the points in your review, we are a new site and intend to develop the facilities over the next few years as we can. I am sorry I had little contact with you, but unfortunately Covid got the better of me by the end of July, we then went away after I was well enough and we had little 4G to be able to respond to your email. Guests have been very self reliant as it's a CL site. In regards to the points raised, we had booked a contractor to repair the potholes for July, but unfortunately he's had to reschedule until September. Also the contractor that maintains the hedging should have been a month ago, but he's also been delayed. We set up up the CL site following guidelines and examples sent by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, none of the examples showed under covered disposal areas - but I agree with your suggestion and hope we can create a roof over the area to avoid getting wet in the rain when using the area. We're looking forward to developing a nice site with time and money.

The dream little site we have been looking for

We have been looking for quite a while for a nice little CL in this area . When I Was a young boy our first ever holiday was near Borth . Because of the memories of a very happy childhood and the time we got to spend with my Parents. We found this site and booked it though CL booking app and soon got to chat with the owner . We have A large outfit but had no problems getting on . I recommend this site and think it well deserves members support. Nice and peaceful, we are here as I write this review. We will be staying again .

Comment from the CL Owner:

Thank you for such a lovely first review, we really appreciate your words of support. We look forward to welcoming you again.
