Such a Pleasant Site

We visited this site on the second week of September and had a rather mixed but generally good bag of weather. On arrival, the owners were out but they have a notice board on which, booked arrivals are directed to their well marked hardstanding pitches. The site is well maintained and each pitch has it's own tap and is only a short walk up the hill to the toilet block. This is a simple but very neatly kept facility. In addition, they have a wooden hut which serves as an information office and there was plenty of literature advertising local places of interest. There is plenty to see and do within a few miles of the site The nearest shops are about 4 miles away and it is not on a bus route so 'own transport' is a must. We will certainly return to this site when visiting Scotland again even if only as a 'stopover' to get to more remote parts of the Country. For those like me, who cannot bear to be 'offline' for too long, you can just get the internet on your mobile phone but it is slow and sporadic. For a modest fee, you can log into the site satellite wifi system which work well although do not expect to be able to 'stream' films! We would recommend this site to anyone who can get about alright. Persons utilising mobility aids may have difficulty due to the nature of the terrain.
