Good communication when booking and a warm, relaxed welcome from John the site owner. The site is a well-kept, gently sloping enclosed paddock with water, toilet and recycling disposal (no normal rubbish disposal) next to the historic mound of Fotheringhay castle. It has easy access to a sheltered section of the river Nene for paddleboarding / kayaking / swimming and is a five minute walk to The Falcon pub which we ate at twice and had great food and service both times. A very peaceful site in a lovely location. We were only meant to stay two nights but stayed four!
