Friendly Owner, Lovely Setting

Stayed here August 2014 for a week. I love the typical laidback ethos of the CL owner community -- that 'pay me next time you see me' attitude I find so often. It sets the whole tone of the stay for me and CHF was no exception. Julie greeted us on arrival and was lovely. She gave us a (funny) apprisal (not appraisal for you budding grammatarians!) of the situation regarding pitching with regard to some 'neighbour challenges' then left us to our own devices! The produce on site is wonderful. The field is roomy and nicely cut. Wymondham is an easy walk and is a treat. I/we absolutely love it here. You must go -- it is wonderful!

One of the children's favourite CLs

A lovely site on a working farm that is always a pleasure to visit. We have been here several times and always enjoy it. The children love being surrounded by the animals, stroking Lucy and Oska, feeding the chickens and trying to talk back to the sheep. 4 out of 5 for peace is only because the cockerel can be a bit of an early riser, but none of the many sounds are man made, so we find it very peaceful. Pigs can pong a bit if the wind is blowing the wrong way, but it helps to make you feel that you are properly in the country! It is an easy walk to Wymondham, but bring good torches if you plan to do it in the dark. Grass is well tended, owners friendly, services well maintained. We will keep coming back, even though it is only 20 miles from home.

A delightful CL

This site is a lovely, peaceful site with very helpful owners. There is a small self service tea shed, with home grown produce and eggs available from the farm (check out the jumbo eggs if you like to dip your solders in the morning)! The paddock adjacent to the site is home to Lucy the donkey, Oska and Trinket the goats and a small number of sheep and chickens which are a constant source of entertainment! The village is five minutes walk past Wymondham Abbey with good local facilities and an Indian takeaway that delivers to the site. A fab week was spent here.
