We were fortunate to have the CL entirely to ourselves during October when we were here for the week. We were visited by both Tim and Jane to make sure everything was ok. Jane also called us en-route to confirm where we could pitch and go over where everything was to be found which was helpful. Beautifully clean site with fully serviced hard standing pitches and the toilet emptying point close at hand but separated by a field boundary. Stunning views across the vale of the Doniford Stream to the Brendon Hills and with the Quantocks on the other side of the site opportunities for cycling and walking in the local countryside abound. Some points to note: If coming from Taunton once you reach Bicknoller slow down, the CL is on the left of the A358 on a fast left hand curve so you only see the entrance at the last second as the signage is set back from the road. The entrance / exit is wide but on a sharp incline so care is needed, particularly when leaving. However it is manageable and didn’t give me any problems. There is traffic noise from the A358 and if you are a light sleeper you may have a disturbed night. This effected my wife more than I but was more than made up for by the beauty of our surroundings.
