Ease of arrival/welcome

A Lovely Break

We have just returned from a lovely few days away at Cherwell Farm. Graham and Kathy welcomed us on arrival and made sure we were OK, but after that were not at all intrusive. The site is very well maintaned, in a lovely quiet Paddock, screened on all sides. The Toilet is very basic but more than adequate and a big plus for any CL. Electric hook up is excellent, well able to maintain a 2KW connection. Dogs are welcomed, the only very slight drawback is that you have to walk them on leads to get to the nearest public footpath. However this is easily reached within 50yds of the site entrance, along a very quiet lane. Access from the main road is via a single track lane, which is well maintained and very quiet, so the chance of meeting traffic is very small. Access to the site is good, we tow a twin axle 640 unit, with a LWB Landrover Defender (which do not have the best of turning circles!) and had absolutely no problems. If you like a very secluded site, then this is for you, however if you want one within walking distance of shops and a pub, forget it, the site is very isolated and all trips have to be made by car. But that is just what we want when we go away! I would say that a normal 2 wheel drive car would have trouble getting on or off in the winter or when wet, the site is on a very slight slope to get out and being all grass, however Graham, does have a small tractor. All in all highly recommended. Peter & Jo.
