We stayed on this site the first weekend of December to go shopping at Cheshire Oaks. The site is very easy to find and well sign posted at the end of the drive. We arrived at about 5:30 and John the owner showed us the the pitches, we were surprised to be the only people on site. Cheshire oaks is easily in walking distance but staying here meant we could arrive early enough to get a good parking space for our motorhome. There are three friendly dogs that roam around the farm and come to say hello in the morning. The field is spacious and overlooks the canal. There is the tow path to walk along with the dog. The site has a cold water tap, electric hook up and a very clean chemical disposal area. There is a bit of mud but in the main it is very clean considering it is a working beef farm. It is very peaceful on site and reasonable quiet given how close it is to the motorway.  Ten minutes walk to the village and you will find a very friendly local that allows you to take your dog in and serves excellent food. We will definitely be coming back in the summer.
