On arrival, as the gate bearing the name of the farm was wide open, and we'd followed the sat nav, we over shot and ended up down a narrow lane leading to some grand house! The owners reluctantly let us turn round on their gated property, and we rang Mrs Fuggle (CL owner) who came out to collect us ?? Once settled on our pitch, we were able to take in our surroundings. ...We overlooked Bewl Water, the next field was a large orchard and the test was beautiful rambling beautiful farm land! Had a walk through the orchard and over a field at dusk and all that was to be heard were owls and the faint fluttering of bats wings.....sigh. Had a drive to Bewl Water, which is fabulous,  the next day. When we got back to the van we were advised that we could have walked directly from the farm in ten minutes!  We will definitely be back here, but will stay for much longer that two nights!
