We often stay here because it is such a lovely, peaceful site. The owners have continually invested over the years with the most recent innovation being an easy check-in, check-out, local stay information and payment app. The pitches are level, fully serviced and spacious. Everyone gets a view of red kites flying over the Chiltern Hills... but a word of warning... watch out for that steak on the BBQ, the kites like them too! A bicycle is recommended for trips to local villages as the area is a bit, well, hilly. The Chiltern Fox is close by on foot and offers a wide menu from fish and chips to fine bistro. The walks in the AONB hills are well marked. You will need good footwear as the trails are muddy in places in winter. The farm animals, horses, hens, wildfowl, and peacocks add to the ambience of a stay in the country. We found one of the peacocks in our awning on our previous visit. He was comfortably asleep on the floor mat and showed no signs of needing to leave when we arrived. He eventually made his way out when we realized there wasn't a snack on offer.
