excellent CL

Spot on couldn't fault, beautifully maintained site, spent 10 nights. Carla the owner was really helpful. Ideally situated for exploring all of Cornwall. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Covid control was well covered with facilities cleaned down regularly and hand gel dispenser supplied. Excellent dog walking area.

An excellent CL

We have just returned from a week at Chygwyne. What a wonderful CL! We usually look out for a few things when we book a place to stay, such as ease of access to site, security of site, level pitches, a site that (on the website) looks cared for, and location, to name just a few! We give Chygwyne top marks for all of those and more! Yes, it's adjacent to a main road, but you know that when you book. It wasn't a problem. Carla made us feel very welcome and all the on-site facilities were maintained spotlessly, even with a hand sanitising station at the rubbish and disposal points. Thank you, Carla, for providing such a lovely place to stay. We will be back! Wendy and Phil.

In Our Top Five CLs!!

We chose this site to use as a base whilst walking some of the South West Coastal Path. What a find!! Carla, the owner, is such a great person - nothing is too much trouble and she was very 'hot' on the Covid-19 guidelines to keep everyone safe - thank you. The site is well laid out with plenty of hard standing pitches and WiFi has recently been installed (£1 per night). Lovely enclosed field for the dogs to have a run round in - there is some walking from the site but the lane at the back of the CL is quite busy as it appears to be a bit of a rat run. There is more pleasant walking on the opposite side of the main road along a myriad of small lanes. Spar shop in walking distance which is useful. Have a visit to 'The Hutlet' across the lane from the CL for home made cakes and jams to take away. All in all, a great stay. I hope we can still get a pitch as I'm sure this CL will be very popular!

Perfectly laid out

This is definitely the best laid out CL we have stayed on in over 20 years of using CLs. The pitch we had was bigger even than the main CMC sites. A delight having just come from a large site at Slimbridge where we didn't have room for a small porch awning without using the grass (which we were asked not to) and had to park the car across the front of the caravan. Yes, it is close to the main road, but that is what makes it so perfectly located between Falmouth and Truro. When you are in the van it's not noticeable and the road is quiet at night. Penpol, Feock, King Harry Ferry to the Roseland, St Mawes etc, all just down the road. Very friendly owners. Amusing Alpacas. Everything neat and tidy. What more can you ask for? Thank you for a lovely stay. Will definitely come again.

Friendly owners

A great welcome from Carla when we arrived nothing too much trouble, access very easy and close to bus stops to Falmouth and Truro. Level site although close to main road when in the caravan road noise not noticable. This was our first stay but will certainly be coming back. Thank you for being so welcoming. Home from home!

Whilst waiting for our new home to be refurbished we stayed 3 weeks on this perfectly situated CL. With a newly installed fully serviced pitch Tony could not have been more helpful in making sure we were well catered for in the coldest month of the year. With good access, tidy facilities, proximity to a local shop and excellent bus links to Truro, Falmouth and the Lizard the site provides a perfect base for touring in this part of Cornwall.
