We didn’t realise there was no EHU when we booked this in a bit of haste but decided to stay for one night and ended up staying for two! Access is good although we missed the turn in on our first drive by, you then go through two gates into a field of sheep and the view just hits you! This site was used historically as an armament site and we pitched up on a hard standing previously used by gunners. Our nearest neighbours were 20m+ away either side it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The water is one one side of the field and the Elsan is in the bottom corner through a gate, basic but functional. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and is knowledgeable about the area and we were privileged to meet a newborn calf in the next field with John and his dogs. There is access to the coastal paths from the site which unfortunately we were unable to ake advantage of on this visit. This was our first time off-grid and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and the views outstanding (weather permitting!) Would we return here? Most certainly yes!
