Rustic charm and stunning views

Steve is a real character as is Safi his little mutt. He invited us down the pub on Friday night and we were glad we went excellent company, real ales, fantasic food and all a good prices. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra night and would have loved to stay longer. Okay the site has one water tap and if you are on pitch 1 or 5 you need a very long electric lead as the box is in the middle. However the pitches although a little steep are very well drained and have plenty of harcore so our motorhome had no problems even when it rained hard. The views are stunning and with the horses in the fields opposite and the show arena nearby there is plenty to look at if like us you appreciate equine entertainment. The access to the site is a little narrow for the last mile whichever way you come in but not a problem if you are carefull. The surrounding area has loads of walks and the stunning Wye valley road betweem Chepstow and Monmouth a joy with plenty of pretty villages the lovely Tintern Abbey and castles in both towns. Remember this CL is a working farm so expect a bit of mud and muck and don't moan if your precious new 20' van gets grubby. Stars of the show apart from the amazing views are Steve and his four legged friends. We shall return, mine's a pint Steve :)
