Peace full

When we arrived we was welcomed with a very friendly greeting. The site is very peace and tranquil and we had a 100 acres to walk our two dogs in....keeping to the country code of course. We have been on sites much worse that this site . For the price It is very good value and we shall be back.

Lovely little site.

This is a 'no frills' CL site (as all CL sites are), in the heart of a working farm. I only spent one night here, but would have been more than happy to stay a week. The road into the CL was no problem at all (I drive an18 foot motorhome with overhang), and surprising for a little CL site, it had both a toilet and a shower (basic, but did the job). I was made to feel more than welcome by the owner, and loved the view over the fields from my little secluded pitch. This is a site i will be happily returning to.

A good one nighter

Collierhall Farm CL site is located just 7 minutes from junction 12 of the A74(M). On first impressions, a bit tight in negotiating around the farm out house, however, once located in the field, the ambience of the surrounding countryside left us feeling relaxed and contented, especially after the long drive. One shower and one toilet, though adequate for a one night stop over, left a lot to be desired as long as you don't mind an outbuilding and all it's residential insect in habitants! Reasonably maintained with hook ups, waste disposal, WC and shower. Conclusion: a very good one night stop over.

NOT FOR A LONG STAY

Thia is a very quiet, cheap site, convenient for an overnight stop but the facilities and surroundings, while adequate, are scarcely conducive to a longer stay.

Satisfied Caravanner

We have stopped here on a couple of occasions when travelling north. The site is just 2 mls off M74 but it's a very quiet site. We had no problems with the EHU, and there are a couple of hardstanding pitches, suitable for motorhomes, as well as a toilet and free shower. The site is within easy driving distance of New Lanark (World Heritage Site), the Falls of Clyde, and for those interested in horseracing, Lanark Racecourse. The site lies behind the farm buildings which are a bit delapidated and care is need if driving a large outfit. The fields behind the site also provide a good dog walking area.

Very Disappointing

The entrance around old buildings to the c.l were very run down. We were told by the owners when we arrived that we weren't booked in so it was a good job we took a copy of our email confirmation. The 6th caravan to arrive had no electric to hook up to so it was a good job they were only stopping overnight. We went out for a carry out meal as we were only there for one night (thank goodness) and felt very scared when a scuffle broke out in the Take Away Shop and our car was bloked in so we couldn't drive away. The surrounding area was rather run down as well. Close to M74 if you want an overnight stop.

Disappointing!

This CL site is really handy for the M74 and routes to the Highlands, but it really is a disappointing site. Cheap yes, the buildings on the approach are falling down, the electric hook up kept tripping (never had this problem at a CL site before). I would only recommend a very short stop-over here - handy enough.
