January 2023

So glad we decided to book this lovely little campsite. It's very peaceful, with pleasant views, some nice walks nearby and the owners are very helpful and friendly. We originally booked for 2022 and when we had to cancel they kindly allowed us to book for this year. We will definitely be going back there again.

Winter Break

We had a four night December stay on this excellent site with level and spacious pitches which were well marked. All pitches were on firm, well drained grass and were in good condition despite earlier heavy rain. Andrew and Maggie were friendly and helpful and came to our rescue when we needed a jump start at the end of our stay! Their website is very good with lots of local information and walks which added to our own research on the area before we arrived. The information shed was well equipped with essential forgotten items as well as extra goodies. There are good footpath walks to and around Collingham and the surrounding area directly from the site. We tried the Community run pub in Collingham (The Royal Oak) which served good food and beer with the added bonus of a dsicount on food because we were staying at Corner Cottage. This was our first caravan holiday after a 20 year gap and staying on this site gave us encouragement to make the most of the freedom cl sites. If we return to the area we wouldn't hesitate to go back and definitely recommend it.

A welcoming rescue.

we contacted this site as a matter of urgency as we had foolishly booked another site using Pitchup!!! We soon realised that we could not stay on the other site and got the CMC handbook out. Maggie could not have been more helpful and juggled her existing booking to accommodate us straight away. In half an hour we were all pitched up, electrics connected and were able to relax. Corner Cottage is delightful, peaceful and spacious. A real find and is in our book for reference. Maggie and Steve have made a great job of setting up this site. As caravanners themselves they know what you need and provide it. Five star all the way from us. Thank you for turning a disaster into a week long relaxing stay.

Super friendly site

Everything that has been said before is true, this is a super CL ( perhaps i should be keeping this site to myself ! ) that is a well kept, large field with individual pitches, having just spent 5 wonderful nights on site i can vouch for this extremely quiet, peaceful and well run CL, the owners Maggie and Andy are very friendly and helpful and dont mind you having a chat over the fence. One thing to remember is you need green toilet fluid as they are not on the main sewer. All in all a really excellent CL that is a credit to them and a bonus to the CL network, i will certainly be back for more.

Quiet peaceful Site

What a cracker of a site, so peaceful, the owners have put a lot of thought and work into creating a lovely site. We use a caravan and found this site ideal for caravaning. Nice walks from the site to exercise both me and the dogs. The information shed was full of great info, and cakes 🤣😂. My only very minor criticism is the fresh water and Elsan, could do with being a bit closer to the vans. Ok for the younger ones but the elderly may struggle. That said the chap in the next pitch to me took his Loo in his car, and towed his aqua roll behind the car, brilliant. So there is a solution to all problems. All in all a belter of a site.

What a delightful friendly site

We stayed on this site for 7 nights and cannot fault it. Maggie and Andy were excellent hosts, fantastic Quiche and Bacon butties delivered to our caravan - just brilliant, they have put alot of effort into the site and it is a credit to them. Lovely walks for the dogs from site so no need to take the car. The area has lots to see and a visit to Southall Cathedral and to the NT Workhouse is a must. We will certainly visit again in the near future and thank you Maggie and Andy for being so accommodating with Ellie and Meg (my nervous Sheltie). Christine & Bill

Very quiet, nice and neat site

We used the Corner Cottage site as a one night stopover on our way back to Scotland. Directions for arrival were sent in advance so arrival was contactless and we easily found our designated pitch and parked ourselves. Flat site. It is very quiet. No showers or toilets but we are self contained in the caravan so didn't matter to us. Water was the main issue, as we didn't have the barrel pulling handle with us for some reason. We did have 3 lengths of expandable water hose but even they didn't get our barrel filled very near the caravan but close enough to push the barrel on the flat ground straight to the caravan. The honesty hut with the varied stock on display was interesting. We didn't need anything, so didn't take/buy anything. If passing through we would certainly use the site again.

Immaculate

We've just spent four nights in our motorhome at this super immaculate site. The site is amazingly quiet with good walks and excellent roads for cycling. We had a lovely meal at the Lord Nelson pub to which we biked. We had a Chinese takeaway delivered. We tried to have a meal at the Royal Oak in Collingham (within walking distance) but they were fully booked (for a vegan night!) so bought some burgers from the Collingham butcher to barbecue. The meat was so good we bought more to bring home. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this site and would like to visit again.
