Peace & tranquility

We stayed for 1 night about 2 weeks ago. The site is very basic but is level and there is plenty of space. The grass was a little on the long side but not a problem as it was dry during our stay. There is a pedestrian public access to the driveway leading from the site entrance, along the perimeter of the site leading to the canal. The footpath was quite well used (it was the weekend). The site is directly adjacent to the canal. The Bridge pub is a 15min walk along the canal. It was very busy (sunny Sunday lunchtime). The village of Bishop Cannings is pleasant with another pub and a magnificent church. The beauty of the site is the peace and quiet, the views of the Downs and the position next to the canal. We will definitely return for a relaxing night or two provided it is dry.
