Ease of arrival/welcome

13 very peaceful nights.

We have just spent a lovely stop here at Wooten. We were a little apprehensive when booking as the website says max outfit length 8mtres and we are 11 metres. No problem. In fact during our stay a much longer unit came in and out. The access is in by means of a "u" turn from the approach road, however with good towing driving ability the gate is wide and the gravelled access into the cl wide enough to spread the turn. The directions in to the site are a little misleading. It says on the third set of lights. In fact the third set is an extension of the second set to allow a u turn on the main road, so you need to move right when approaching the second set of lights. We missed it and ended up going on to the next roundabout and back. The gravelled access opens out into a nicely mowed paddock. With a tree in full bloom in the corner at the time of our arrival. The site is mainly shelled from the lane by mature tree growth and open views to a sheep field wire fenced off from the cl. The only sound at night being the owls. We covered a lot of East Kent from the site, from Dungreness up to the Thanet isle of Margate. Plenty to do and see especially if a English Heritage member as Dover, Deal and Walmsey castle are relatively local with the White cliffs walk and a lot more. Services at the cl are good however I agree with a previous reviewer, to get the best position in the site you need extra leads as the hookup point are all at one end of the site. Thank you for a good stop,

I'm glad it's not you who find the directions "a little misleading". As I always do, I try and research potential stays via google maps and I confess that I cannot work out where on earth this site actually is!

The drop-down pin seems to be in completely the wrong place (to be fair they often are and are just a postcode reference) and the instructions don't appear to make any sense at all to me (probably just me though). For that reason alone this site wont make my shortlist unless some clearer information is given. Shame really as it ticks a lot of boxes for us.

The 'outfit length' given on CMC sites refers to the length of the actual caravan (or motorhome) and excludes the tow vehicle.
