Another fine CL

As the heading says this is another fine CL, the bedrock of the CC (imho). There is only one quibble with this CL and it must be mentioned at the beginning because that is where you encounter it. The approach road from the main road is ATROCIOUS. It is full of pot holes and there is not a flat bit of it to be found. It goes on for about 400 yards. We had a small sidelight cover dislodged whilst never leaving first gear. I found fragments of it when I went back to search for it. This cover had survived about 15,000 miles previous to this. Please repair this road. Apart from this, and there is a saving grace insofar as you can easily access the little used back road from the CL, the CL is perfect for all of your needs. The site is found at the back of the small overflow area seen from the road and is set in a large triangle of grass. It is bordered by a wood on a one side, a large leylandi hedge between the two caravan areas and a wooden rail finishes off the triangle. The site is large enough to easily accommodate 5 vans and there is pitch marking with sufficient space between everyone to be comfortable. You can park whichever way suits and we have seen outfits parked a fair distance away using 2 electric cables. All pitches have EHU and the Elsan point is at the far end of the site away from the vans. The grass was short at the time of visit and didn't need cutting. Apparently it drains well. Water is sited just the other side of the hedge and bins are provided with recycling ones at the entrance to the CL. We had no problems with wifi reception using our Dongle. Don't know about TV as we didn't bother. Mobile signal is good. The attractions of the area have been mentioned by other reviewers and you can quite easily walk to Snape Malting, about 1 mile away by quiet country lanes. There are 2 pubs in the village, the Crown particularly serving good food. There are Public footpaths adjacent to the site for dog owners. The owners were away on holiday at the time of our visit but all requests by phone or email were answered swiftly. There is very little road noise as you are at the rear of the site but the local Rooks do go on a  bit! A very good base to strike out towards Southward to the north or Constable country to the south. Will return in future (when hopefully the road will be repaired).
