Lovely little site.

We booked over a Bank Holiday weekend in April, from Friday to Monday, and then changed it from Thursday to Sunday and there was no problem with changing the date. (Lucky that we did alter it, as the weather changed for the worse on the Sunday). The site is in a large field and there is ample room to exercise a dog on a long lead. You can hear the traffic from the A30 but as the road is down in a dip it isn't too loud, though it might be different if you were camping in a tent. The previous reviewer mentioned the little lane leading to the site. We didn't find it difficult to navigate with the caravan (a 2 berth) - the only issue is entering and exiting the site on a bend in the road, and if you listen you can hear any traffic approaching. The lane crossing over the A30 to the site is very short, so we didn't have to travel for miles down long dark lanes with no pull-ins (we generally avoid sites like those as it's too nerve-wracking if you meet another vehicle when there's nowhere to reverse with a caravan!). The site is ideally placed for visiting Okehampton - which has a wonderful ruined castle - and for Dartmoor, being right on the edge of the moor. From the site itself you can see both Dartmoor looming up and Exmoor in the distance - the views are glorious. The gentleman who runs the site was very welcoming, pleasant and unobtrusive. We'd certainly visit again.
