Excellent site in every way

First time at Danebury but not the last. Lovely welcome and ongoing contact from owners. Added bonus of direct water supply and open space. Great access for the area and the added touch of an information hut with local map and leaflets was really useful. Peaceful and quiet - nice to see the ponies and chickens every morning. A perfect week. Thank you.

Still a great site

Another year on and this site is still great, the grass is a little greener this year. Mike and Sue were top hosts again always taking time to stop and chat. See you again in September. Already booked for next year need i say more!

Excellent site - we'll be back

This was our second visit to Danebury and even though there were plenty of rainy days we had a relaxing and safe week. We're already booked for next year and this is our "go to" site for the New Forest. Excellent site, facilities, location and friendly owners. What more can you ask for?

Excellent CL in stunning location

We have just had our first stay on the CL site and what a little gem it is. Lovely location and an ideal base for exploring. If peace and quiet is for you, then this is the site to stay. Mike couldn't have been any more helpful and made sure everything was Covid safe. Each pitch has its own hook up, water and bin. Sanitiser was supplied at all other touch points such as waste water and gate. The weather was a little soggy and by the end of the week things had become a little sticky, but that was out of anyone's hands. When it came to leaving, Mike was on hand to offer a tow if needed. Lovely horses on site and free range chickens which were quite entertaining. We will definitely be back.

My favourite cl

I don't normally write reviews and this is my first. Having read a negative review about this site has made me do it. I have been to Danebury on many occasions and have always found Mike to be a really decent guy. The site is immaculately presented with every pitch having its own water and electric and perfectly situated for visiting the New Forest and I have already booked for next year cannot recommend this site highly enough đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

First class

Others have summed up Danebury very well. We were only there for a long weekend (to visit family nearby) but would happily stay longer. Our names were on a welcome board and personalised name plates awaited us on pitch, with a helpful page of info, carefully inside a plastic bag. No sooner had someone left a pitch, than the new nameplate went up, the pitch was mowed, bin emptied and everything made ready and clean for the next arrival. Well done to Mr/Mrs Tappenden for all your efforts to make Danebury as Covid-19 secure as possible. And for a generally lovely site too.

Safe Holiday Destination

We wanted to leave a review but having read the previous comments there's not a lot more we can say except we agree with everything that has already been said about the site, Mike & Sue being good hosts and the area, all good. However, because we are both still shielding we thought it important to mention that Mike & Sue have done more than most to make Danebury a safe place in these troubled times by providing a dustbin to each pitch, sanitizers near all touch points and of course because there is water & electrics to each pitch the risk to visitors is minimised. A 2nd gate has even been removed to limit the touch points. Well done both and thank you for the thought you have put into making us feel safe.

Didn’t want to come home!

Just returned from 2 weeks here. This fantastic CL is just one you could keep retuning to. The site is very well kept, peaceful, electric hook up and water at each pitch (don’t forget your hose), also your own dustbin. Sue and Mike are very welcoming and friendly. Easy access to the New Forest, Toby Carvery and Harvester Cat and Fiddle on A35 towards Christchurch if needed. Cliffhanger restaurant at Highcliffe, good food, thoroughly recommend. My husband must of been the best customer at Burley Fudge shop too! Can’t wait to return to site next year.

Relax and unwind

This is my wife’s favourite CL. Each pitch has its own individual water supply besides 16amp electric. You can walk straight out of the site onto the New Forest making it perfect for walking and cycling. At the top of the road is a family pub, which although we didn’t use it this time, we have in the past and the food was lovely. Mike and Sue are very welcoming and there’s even fresh eggs to buy.
