Out in the wilds but a lovely little site

We stayed here for 3 nights, most people seem to just use it for stop-overs but we wanted a good walk.  The site is in a small field with gorgeous views, on a sight slope. The pitches are on hardstandings dotted around the field and we just needed to use ramps on one side.  Very friendly owners, eggs, preserves and the odd cake were on sale when we visited.  We had a couple of walks from the site - up to the radio mast on the hill behind with amazing views, and down to Loch Migdale where there are Woodland Trust walks among the woods - this was a 9 mile round trip but you could take your vehicle to the road above if this is too far. There are also woodland walks on the main road west of Bonar Bridge. A good basic CL, no facilities but views to die for and follow the instructions , not your satnav!
