We opted for the VIP Caravan without private facilities as we used our own shower and toilet facilities but the communal toilet is very clean and one of the best we have stayed at. The hot tub was brilliant and Michael can provide the firewood and firelighters if you don't bring your own like us ! We had a lovely weekend and the dogs loved the walks which we did on the Saturday down the Chesterfield Canal which is a short walk away. It took us about an hour and a half to walk to Retford and although we spent longer in Retford we caught the bus back to the site as it was going dark. Stopped off for a drink at the local pub/hotel Ye Olde Belle which is a lovely place and if you mention you are staying on the Retreat you get discount at the bar. Although dogs are not allowed inside the pub you can sit outside the covered heated area and enjoy a tipple. Will certainly be back again soon and is only about half an hour from home but still worth a visit for total relaxation. A lot or car and thought has gone into this lovely CL/Retreat and it shows.
