Perfect Location.

Firstly the good bits. The views from the pitches are superb looking out towards Lindisfarne and Budle Bay. It's nice to have both electric hook up and water at the pitch, the grass was cut short and cuttings collected. Very peaceful even though you are just a short distance from the road. The location is ideal for visiting the superb north Northumberland coast and Lindisfarne. The waste, recycling and chemical disposal facilities were more than adequate. Communication was good and I was contacted by e-mail four weeks ahead of our arrival with our pitch allocation. Now the "maybe" not so good bits. Yes if you were on pitches 4,5 or 6 six then you would struggle with an awning, we were on pitch 4 and only had a canopy so it wasn't an issue for us. At times there were 6 vans/motorhomes on site but only for the odd night so didn't find it a problem. While the access to the shepherds huts are between pitches 4 and 5 there was very little movement in and out which never bothered us and I think previous comments were nit picking! I also agree that the hardstanding's were not perfectly level but I've been on far worse. So if I were contemplating another holiday in the area would I return to this CL? I would have to say yes as the positives far outweigh the negatives.
