A Haven Near To Sheffield And The Peak District

Fanshaw Gate House CL is a delightful little Certified Location within easy access of the hustle and bustle of Central Sheffield, and yet delightfully close to the outstanding beauty of the Peak District. Wynford will welcome you like an old friend, and treat you as such throughout your stay. Nothing is too much trouble, and he's always on hand if you need any help or advice. Amazing views, huge tranquillity and total silence are all yours at this site.

Fantastic views

A warm welcome on arrival from Mr Rosser who was very chatty and friendly through out our stay. There are 5 hard standing pitches and the one we had required some levelling blocks. Mr Rosser has a number of large fields which we could use to exercise our dogs on as long as we kept away from sheep and kept the dogs on leads, From the site there are plenty of walks . Its a nice walk of a mile or so into the village where there are a couple of pubs though no shops. The water and waste points are close by. A great little CL and very well placed for those who like the out door life.

Ideal location for North Derbyshire & Sheffield

Terrific views and great walking straight off the site or within a short drive. Dronfield is a another short drive for local facilities including some great little restaurants and takeaways. Pub in Holmesfield is just over a mile provided you walk through the woods. The bright lights of Sheffield are just another short drive away. Very warm welcome from the friendly owners who will even let you exercise your dog in their fields when there are no livestock in them.

Small but bueatifully formed

The site is only 0.5 of an acre but is bueatiful and seem a lot larger then it is. Mr & Mrs Rosser are lovely people and we recieved a warm welcome. We had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and the site is very quite even with our 2 noisy children. We really enjoyed our stay so much so I about to ring up again to book another long weekend in July.
