Gorgeous views

We stayed 26th May for 2 nights. We had a friendly welcome with lots of advice on places to visit. We visited the local farmers show on the owners recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views from the site are stunning. We took a wrong turn and ended up on some very narrow, steep windy roads on the way in but it was well worth the drive. Would definitely return.

Well recommended site

Well maintained site with great views. Very quiet with large pitches for 4 units. Site owners very friendly and helpful. Access from Colwyn Bay was not the easiest we have experienced but the climb up the hill was well worth it. Visit to the White Lion recommended by our hosts was great as was our visit to Bodnant Gardens.

Based on reviews, disappointed.

Having holidayed in Wales since the age of 5, the view was ok. Far too regimented in placing the caravan on pitches, you have no choice. For a CL site we didn't expect this they are normally more relaxed. There is an arrival time but, having checked, the site description does not state a time of arrival. Good welcome pack, lovely sunsets. The elsan point is up a steep hill. We probably would not return.

Amazing views

Journey up to this site is very, very steep and we could smell our clutch. We then took a wrong turn due to a sign hidden by leaves and had to use our motor mover to turn round although the caravan did scrap the ground - no damage. However, through a shut gate we were treated by the most amazing views ever so it was worth it. We were on pitch 4 and Mrs Payne apologised for the pylon but that didn't matter. She gave us a mountain of leaflets for the area and we went from Llandudno to Anglesey and surrounding area enjoying every minute. Lovely clean site with water very near by and according to my husband no problem emptying the toilet cassette. We are still here no haven't visited the local pubs yet for a meal but we will do. Shops are near by in the town but no village shops. Doubt we will come to this area again but would definitely book here if we did.

The owners are lovely very welcoming and gave us a hand made map and leaflets of local interests. The site has stunning views very well kept and peaceful. We had to leave early as car had broken down and the owner was very helpful and gave us a refund and got us on our way, we are extreamly grateful and will be returning asap

Stunningly beautiful

April 2017. A warm welcome on arrival by Noel the owner..lucky enough to have pitch 4 with simply the best view ever down over Colwyn Bay/mountains to the side. Having said that ...all other pitches offer amazing views over the mountains. Very clean/tidy site with everything you need close to each pitch. It is so peaceful here..just birds singing..a very relaxing place to be. So much to see and do in this area and all very accessible from the site by using A55 or A470. Only 4 pitches on this site so by far from over crowded...just sheep on the field next to us. We have loved every day of this stay and will most definitely return to North Wales and Ffrith Wen. Thank you to the lovely owners. X

Stunning

A superb site.  Absolutely immaculate with stunning views across to the mountains.  We went in August and were treated to several beautiful evenings with an orange sun 'sinking' into the sea. It's a fantastic location with easy drives to Conwy, Anglesey and Snowdonia But on a sunny day it's just as enjoyable to sit outside the caravan with a good book and a cup tea.....occasionally looking up to savour the view.

Fabulous views and convenient for exploring Conwy

As said before the views and the sunsets are second to none from the pitch. The access from the town requires concentration but the instructions are excellent and must be followed to the letter. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather. Owners are friendly and helpful and provide a welcome pack. The grass is kept very neat and tidy. Easy access to Colwyn Bay and Rhoss on Sea, nice little traditional seaside towns, nice beaches and easy parking with lots if allowed access for dogs on the beaches. Llandudno is smart and a great walk around the Great Orme.  Went to the 2 local pubs and had nice meals, need to drive to them both. Would recommend it and will visit again

Breath a Sigh of Relief on Arrival

The journey from Colwyn Bay to the site is not for the faint hearted. However, well worth the climb. The views from each of the 4 pitches are spectacular and the sunsets we had at the end of May a sight to behold!! Loved the area - fell in love with Llandudno - thriving well kept seaside town as they used to be!! Wherever you choose to visit the vista from the car will be ever changing. Great location.

Wales at its most Beautiful is here!

We recently returned to Ffrith Wren and as soon as you see the spot that its set on you breath a sigh of relief. Marker board to show you where to pop your van so no hassle wondering where. Noel was on hand to welcome you, I'm not sure that he and his wife Liz realise what a privilege it is to stay here. The "only 4 vans rule" that allows everybody a great view says it all. We will be back again and again as so much to do.
