Great site, well maintained, lovely owner who couldn't be more helpful

We stayed for 6 nights in late September (couple with 2 dogs). Lots of great things to say - very quiet, well planned and maintained new site. Pitches with huge spacing between them, all within an enormous field. Really great for dogs. Good access to fabulous walks - many from the site itself without driving. Walk over the small hill to Glen Tanar is recommended. On the first morning we were there, we had a serious emergency with one of our dogs - Justine the site owner was absolutely lovely and offered any assistance we needed. After emergency surgery, a difficult 48 hours and several visits to the vets in Torphins (who were also wonderful), our dog made a good recovery. It was reassuring to know that Justine was happy to help in any way she could - offering to shop for us, etc. if necessary. Thank you Justine - all much appreciated. Great place to eat in Aboyne - The Boat Inn. Highly recommended, booking advised. The Highlander Bakehouse near Crathie Kirk also highly recommended for scones, bread, cakes, etc. Looked like a great place to eat in for lunch too, but we only did take-away. Quirky, and very good. Braemar Gallery - as always, a great place for a browse and we always come away with some painting or scultpure - this time was no different.
