Extremely Peaceful

Stayed at this CL on our way home from Norfolk. It was very peaceful and quiet but there are some local pubs with good food and, in one case, brilliant music (on the right night). There are interesting places to visit around the site but if you want to just unwind, this could be the CL for you. The toilets and showers were wonderful and kept clean, there is a large field suitable for dog walking and rubbish is recycled.. The owners are friendly and laid back - they do not trouble you at all, but were always available for help if wanted. Talking of help, information about local attractions is available on site in a novel building, complete with a map of the surrounding area. All in all, a great CL and one I recommend.

Will Return

Stayed at CL for 5 day's end of June, the site is very spacious, excellent toilet & shower block, owners are very helpful for walks & places to eat, very quite site except for the bird's, but when you are on such a lovely site as this, its what it's all about. So if you are looking for excellent CL & a little peace this is the place to visit. Top marks to Niel & his wife. From Richard & Pat.

Fantastic site

Stayed for a few weeks and found it to be a very quiet and friendly site. The site owner was extremely helpful and the showers/toilets clean and modern.Lots of wild birds on site. I was working nights nearby and wasn't disturbed once whilst sleeping during the day. Will definitely be staying there again next year. Thanks, Andy

You won't regret it.

We don't normally stay on big sites in the UK and try to use CL's as much as poss. The owners have been hard at work since taking this site over a couple of years ago, I believe 2017 is their first full season. The toilet block consists of two spacious wet rooms each with toilet, shower and sink plus heater. The field itself is situated at the side of the house and is bordered by fields, pheasants in abundance. Underneath the camping field is a network of pipes which supplies the heat to Neils eco house! The field is pretty level (no issues) and some work is scheduled to level some hollows in the winter. My belief is that this lovely site will only get better as the years go on. A lot to do around and about, a plethora of country pubs, museums, walks, good cycling etc. Minsmere reserve is only a few minutes away, with your club card 2 get in for £0, first time we've ever used our membership for that, within Minsmere there are several 2-3 hour walks, saw lots of different birds, take sarnies and binoculars (or hire them for £3), we really enjoyed that. Thorpeness and Aldburgh are lovely places to visit, check out the windmill and House in the Clouds at Thorpeness. Bentwater Cold war Museum is only a short drive away.

As Good as they Say

The previous reviewers ain't wrong. All of the salient points have been mentioned and are correct, although I would add that the field being an old farm field isn't quite as flat as you might initially think. Anyone who has stayed on a farmers field will be aware that the ground is not like a Bowls Green but has ruts in the ground . This is the case here and anyone who doesn't want to find their cutlery on the floor should drive slowly over the grass to their pitch, which are large and well spaced out. The 2 hard standing pitches are accessed over grass but Neil tells me that he hasn't had occasion to pull anyone off the CL yet. Anyway it isn't that difficult to level the outfit without the need for levelling blocks, such is the space afforded to you on the pitch. The owners have planted numerous willow trees around the edge and they will provide some wind protection in time. They don't seem to mind people exercising their dogs over their fields. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be returning. It was very nice of them to provide a Marsh Harrier to look at during our stay! We found Wifi signal to be working well and mobile phone reception also good. Not sure about TV as we don't use one.

First visit to a CL Site

We have just returned from a weekend at Fishers Field as a family of four with our dog, The site is perfect for dog walking with a large field next door which was also great for frisbee throwing. There is also a park next door which the kids enjoyed using and its a short drive to Southwold which we explored on a sunny afternoon. Having been members of the club for a couple of years, this was our first visit to a CL site and will be definitely be back. The communications with the Neil was faultless and all arranged over email. We are already looking ahead a dates for another stay.

Second visit - It's still just great,

Second visit - we were here in 2016 and spent 10 days in August 17. Everything still just great, although at capacity for the duration of our stay it was still peaceful and the excellent shower block spotless, thanks to the dedication of the owners Neil and Geraldine (and considerate fellow caravaner and motor homers) The orchard is just great for running the legs off our dog Milly. We will certainly plan to return in 2018!

Just perfect

We had this CL more or less to ourselves earlier this month (August) which was great for us but such a pity for the owners who have worked so hard to create the ideal site.

Very large flat field with lots of pitching areas including 2 hard standings and 2 immaculate toilet/shower rooms.

Great cycling from the site on quiet country lanes, lots of local interesting towns and of course Minsmere. Interesting story at the local church re WW1 Zeppelin.

Good pub across the road with a quiz night which we enjoyed.. Tip take a torch!!
