Just spent a very enjoyable weekend at this lovely site. As previously mentioned you just turn up, pitch where you like and put your payment in the honesty box. The owners don't bother you at all but there are contact details on the information board should you need them. The site is very easy to find provided you use the club directions rather than satnav, (which will send you to the wrong place). The final approach to the site up a private road is quite a bumpy ride, with a couple of potholes near the start but it is okay as long as you take it slowly. The site itself is a sloping field surrounded on three sides with hedges and lovely views over fields on the other side. One pitch at the top of the field is level but for the others you will need levelling blocks, (we couldn't find any supplied by the site). We were pitched at the bottom of the field and had no problem getting level and putting an awning up. It was dry and sunny whilst we were there though and I think in heavy rain it would become quite waterlogged and therefore very easy for a heavy rig to get stuck at the bottom of the site! The water tap is at the top of the field and had very good pressure. The waste disposal was at the bottom screened by fencing. There are recycling facilities. The TV and mobile signals (Talk Talk & Three) were excellent. The site is approximately 5 min drive from Coldingham, where there is a butchers, a Spar and a couple of pubs. We ate very tasty food at The New Inn, which was incredibly full so booking in advance is recommended. We also did the Coldingham to Eyemouth coastal walk which was great for our dogs who could be "off lead" virtually the whole way. In summary we really enjoyed our stay and at £10 per night, (no extra charges for awnings etc), it was a bargain. We would definitely return.
