Perfect CL site

We stayed for a week at the end of June '19, and have no complaints at all. There are now 2 hardstandings with a hard driveway through the site, as opposed to the photos which show just a grass field, and a neatly stacked pile of levelling blocks by the information boards. The owner came round just once, and was very pleasant, seemed like a nice man, and wasn't intrusive, insisting we still used the honesty box, when we offered to pay him while he was with us. The approach road is fairly rough, but not very long, and low gear and a gentle attitude will get you through! We were sited on the hard standing at the top of the site, and had the field to ourselves for most of the week, and even when the other pitches filled up towards the end of our stay, there is enough room not to feel "invaded". There was no disturbance from the working farm road, which is the approach road, and we only had evidence of a lorry going in and out daily to a shed up the road because we have wildlife trap cameras set up, and saw it on there. There is a sign on the board with a map of the owners land which you are welcome to walk round, which we did, and plenty of wildlife to see. We easily filled our week staying here with visits to St Abbs Head, Banburgh, Berwick etc and have no reservations about giving the site a 5 Star rating. PS. The chemical toilet disposal point is a work of art! so don't complain about it. It's basic but it works.
